To start, we played to our strengths.
Fabuwood began as an assembled-in-the-US kitchen company. Using materials from global sources, we built made-to-order cabinets in our small Jersey City warehouse.
Then, like today, our goal was to produce the best product we could. The years were good to us. Despite our explosive growth into the semi custom market, we keep making good on that same goal: building the best kitchen for the best price.
2009
In the dust of the Great Recession, Joel Epstein establishes Fabuwood as a startup cabinet maker with 40 employees.
2011
Fabuwood leans into automation and tech, delivering greater quality and speed than its 123,000 sq. ft. footprint suggests.
2013
4 years after founding, Fabuwood sees multistate brand recognition, growing consumer trust, and rapid company expansion.
2016
The Morris Cos. begin work on Fabuwood's new HQ across 9 plots. The vision? Reimagine the work environment and increase production.
2017
The company's nearly 800 employees hold a vote, in which 70% choose to stay non-union. A clear win for Fabuwood's culture.
2018
After inaugurating the new superstructure in Newark, N.J., Fabuwood sets a goal to hit 1,200 jobs in the next 2 years, hiring at least once a week.
2019
Fabuwood wins Acumatica's Client of the Year Award after integrating manufacturing, WMS, pricing, and financial systems in just 5 months.
2022
Now the largest kitchen manufacturer in America, Fabuwood fully steps into its new position as leader in semi custom and Custom Works.
2023
Under the auspices of CEO Joel Epstein, the company launches InFocus, an initiative to return focus and inspiration to workplaces everywhere.
2024
Fabuwood acquires Plain & Fancy to enhance its offering of high-quality, custom cabinetry, combining exceptional craftsmanship with personalized design.
